Copper Haul Trail South Of Fish Lake Road Open

Copper Haul Trail South Of Fish Lake Road Open

20 January 2020 – Klondike Snowmobile Association

In late December the City of Whitehorse closed approximately one kilometer of the Copper Haul Trail just south of the Fish Lake Road due to failing culverts. City crews have made repairs to the trail for now and have re-opened this section for winter recreation use.

The Klondike Snowmobile Association has groomed this trail since the opening however please use caution as there is still limited snow on this section of trail as well as wheel ruts throughout.

The other closed section of Copper Haul Road between the McLean Lake trail and the Mt. Sima road remains closed at this time. Crews are continuing their work on a fire smart program along that section of trail and we will post further updates when that area is open again.

We`d also like to remind everyone no wheeled vehicles are allowed on the Copper Haul or any other multi-use trails from November 1st through March 31st. If you see any wheeled vehicles on the trails in Whitehorse during that period please report it directly to the City`s trouble line at 867 667 2111.
