International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week
06 February 2026 – Klondike Snowmobile Association
February 7th through 16th 2026 is International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week!
Do you know someone who doesn’t snowmobile, but might be interested in giving it a try? This is your chance to take them out for a ride and show them what snowmobiling is all about. Surveys continue to indicate that many people in our community are interested in snowmobiling, but they either don’t know where to start, aren’t sure who to go with, or aren’t willing to invest in a snowmobile without having tried it first.
To help with this snowmobilers around the world now participate in an Annual Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week. During this time all snowmobilers are encouraged to invite their non-snowmobiler friends, family, neighbors and co-workers out for a ride. Offer them an easy and affordable opportunity to experience what snowmobiling is all about…
- Step 1: Strike up a conversation, get your friends excited to try snowmobiling.
- Step 2: Dust off any extra snowmobiles and gear you have around, and offer to lend it to them for an afternoon so they can try a snowmobile ride before making any commitments.
- Step 3: Take some time to explain what they’ll need to bring, let them know what to expect during the ride, spend a few minutes showing them how to safely operate a snowmobile, and encourage them to ask questions.
- Step 4: Go for a ride and let them experience for themselves what snowmobiling is all about. Either head out on your own schedule or join us for our annual Take A Friend Snowmobiling Group Ride, details are on our Events page.
- Step 5: After the ride offer some advice on how, when and where they can get out snowmobiling more often. Where to get the gear, who to go with, what kind of snowmobile to look for, that sort of thing. Encourage them to ask questions and come out snowmobiling again!
