06     K.S.A. Board Meeting – Everyone is welcome to attend!  Meeting starts at 7 pm at Sport Yukon Board Room #2, use centre door.  Please note in person attendance will be capped at 10 people due to covid restrictions, however there is a phone in option available, please contact us for details.

17-19   Non-Motorized Weekend at the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site – The use of snowmobiles in the CTNHS is prohibited during the published Non-Motorized weekends. This includes the operation, loading, and unloading of snowmobiles in the entire CTNHS, including the Log Cabin parking lot. Non-motorized weekends extend from 1:00AM on Friday through 12:00 Midnight on Sunday. Snowmobiles are permitted at all other times. See note at the bottom of this page for more information.

15-23    International Snowmobile Safety Week – You can make snowmobiling safe!  January 15th through 23rd is International Snowmobile Safety Week, and during that week please join us on Facebook and Twitter as we share daily tips on how you can be a safe rider. 12-21    International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week – Do you know someone who doesn’t snowmobile but might like it?  Surveys show that there are many people in our community who want to try snowmobiling but aren’t sure where or how to start.  International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week is a reason to invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers out for a ride and show them what snowmobiling is all about!

TBA    Annual K.S.A. Take A Friend Snowmobiling Ride – Do you know anyone who doesn’t snowmobile, but might be interested in trying it?  This is a great chance to take them out for a ride and show them what snowmobiling is all about!  As part of International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week the Klondike Snowmobile Association will be hosting our annual Take A Friend Snowmobiling group ride in Whitehorse…
– Date and location to be determined, please check back in January.
– This ride is weather dependent and may be postponed on short notice if weather or trail conditions are not suitable on the day of the ride.  Please double check this page on the morning of the ride for confirmation.
– The K.S.A. will lead the way but all riders will be responsible for their own snowmobiles, fuel, gear, food, etc.
– We will be departing the staging area at 11.00 (please show up as early as you need to and be ready to ride at 11) and plan to be back at the staging area well before dark.
– There will not be any meals provided but we will be stopping for several short breaks so packing some snacks is highly recommended.
– Helmets and safe riding practices are mandatory for all Klondike Snowmobile Association events.  Additionally any applicable covid-19 restrictions and guidelines will be followed.
– We will be sticking to easy trails and taking lots of breaks so riders of all skill levels and snowmobiles of all types are encouraged to join us for this ride!

TBA    Annual K.S.A. Dawson Overland Trail Group Ride – The Klondike Snowmobile Association’s annual group ride from Whitehorse to Braeburn on the historic Dawson Overland Trail…
– Date to be determined, please check back in January.  We are flexible so if you have a preference for any specific dates please let us know and we will try to accommodate you!
– This ride is weather dependent and may be postponed on short notice if weather or trail conditions are not suitable on the day of the ride.  Please double check this page on the morning of the ride for confirmation.
– The K.S.A. will lead the way but all riders will be responsible for their own snowmobiles, fuel, gear, food, etc.
– We plan to depart the Takhini River Road staging area at 10.00 (please show up as early as you need to and be ready to ride at 10), have lunch at Braeburn Lodge, and arrive back at the staging area in the evening.  We will also be stopping for several short breaks at various historic sites and scenic viewpoints along the way.
– A one-way ride from Whitehorse to Braeburn is also possible if riders are willing to arrange their own transportation from Braeburn back to Whitehorse.
– Everyone is welcome to come along, however please be aware that this ride will be a long day of riding on an ungroomed remote wilderness trail and all riders will need to be prepared for that.  All riders should expect a 200 km ride taking 10 hours or more, with cold weather and rough trail conditions likely to be encountered.
