03 International Trails Day – A day to celebrate trails of all kinds and the healthy lifestyles they encourage, as well as the many hard working volunteers who maintain them. Spend some time fixing up your favourite trail or just get out and enjoy an afternoon on the trails!

08 McLean Lake Trail Cleanup – Join us on the evening of Thursday 08 June 2023 to help us clean up another section of popular multi-use trail! We will be working on the McLean Lake Trail cleaning up litter, updating signage and doing some light brushing as required. We plan to start at the staging area on the McLean Lake Road just below the gravel pits at 19.00 and hope to finish at the same spot by 21.00. More volunteers are always better and all tools and materials will be supplied by the K.S.A., so if you are interested in helping please come on out!

12 Trans Canada Trail Summer Cleanup Event – Join us on the evening of Monday 12 June 2023 to help us clean up another section of the Trans Canada Trail! Unfortunately many beautiful sections of the trail have become a dumping ground for garbage, however with help from Trail Care Grants from the Trans Canada Trail thousands of volunteers across Canada are cleaning it up. We’re thrilled to receive one of these Trail Care Grants this season and we are inviting any and all volunteers to join the Klondike Snowmobile Association and Trans Canada Trail on 12 June 2023 from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, starting and finishing at the staging area right behind Trails North, to help us clean up a section of trail. All volunteers are welcome to partake, all tools and supplies will be provided so you don’t need to bring anything other than yourself, and free snacks and beverages will be available for all participants!

TBA Summer Trail Work Days – A few sections of the Mt. McIntyre trail are in need of some brush clearing, so we’re planning to take some volunteers up for a couple afternoons over the summer and make it a nice trail again. If you are interested in helping stay tuned for dates and times which will be determined closer in based on volunteer availability and more volunteers are always great to have!

TBA International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week – Do you know someone who doesn’t snowmobile but might try it? Surveys show there are many people in our community who are interested in snowmobiling but either shy away from the price without having tried it first or they’re just not sure where or how to get started. International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week is your chance to dust off any extra gear and sleds you may have and invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers out for a ride and introduce them to what snowmobiling is all about! Show them your favourite trails on your own time or join us for our annual K.S.A. Take A Friend group snowmobile ride, details of which are coming soon.

*Pursuant to Section 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, the use of snowmobiles in the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site (CTNHS) is designated as
restricted, prohibiting their use during Non-Motorized Weekends. This includes the
operation, loading, and unloading of snowmobiles in the entire CTNHS, including the Log Cabin parking lot. Non-motorized weekends extend from 1:00AM on Friday through 12:00 Midnight on Sunday, as identified on the above schedule. Snowmobiles are permitted at all other times. The schedule for each season is usually made available some time in November and posted here shortly after.
