2025/2026 CTNHS Winter Use Schedule

The 2025/2026 Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site Winter Use Schedule is now available. There’s a copy of the schedule here and we’ve also posted the dates on our Events page for your convenience.

As usual, every third weekend from December through April has been designated as Non-Motorized Only in the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site (CTNHS), also commonly known as the Skagway Summit and the White Pass area. On these weekends snowmobiles are not allowed anywhere within the CTNHS, including the Log Cabin parking lot, on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All other days are considered multi-use with snowmobiles allowed.

This schedule is established annually in collaboration with several stakeholders, including snowmobilers, as part of Parks Canada’s CTNHS Winter Use Strategy. Please ride respectfully, ride safe, obey this schedule, and have fun out there!
