Copper Haul Temporary Closure For Bridge Upgrades

A section of the Copper Haul Trail, part of the Trans Canada Trail, around the Wolf Creek area will be closed from 17 July 2023 to approximately 31 July 2023 to accommodate upgrades to the trail around the Peter Greenlaw Memorial Bridge.

This project is being managed by Wildland Fire Management and will consist primarily of upgrading the approaches to the bridge at the Wolf Creek crossing to allow better access and egress for fire crews in the event of fires in the Whitehorse area. Once completed this will also benefit multi-use trail users by offering a smoother and easier ride to and from the bridge.

Signage will be in place to indicate the closed section and recreational trail users are kindly asked to find alternate routes during this project. Wildland Fire Management and the Klondike Snowmobile Association appreciate your patience as crews work to upgrade the Copper Haul Trail and we look forward to having some excellent trail to use soon!
