Grooming Volunteer Orientation Days
29 December 2022 – Klondike Snowmobile Association
Interested in volunteering to operate a trail groomer? Come try it out this winter!
We have a list of folks who have indicated interest so we will be hosting a couple of short introduction to grooming sessions to give anyone interested a chance to learn some more about grooming and try it out.
After the introduction days for anyone still interested we will arrange some one on one time with a full grooming run and if that goes well then discuss options to get out on the trails.
During the introduction to grooming sessions we will be covering how the different types of groomers work the snow to produce a nice trail base, the basics of how to operate the equipment, and a few safety notes. After that we will have a few groomers available to try out for a short run on an easy trail.
If you are not already on the volunteer list and would like to be please send us an e-mail to klonsnow@gmail.com.
The first session will be Saturday 31 December 2022 at 12.00 noon at the Fish Lake Road / Copper Haul staging area. Another one is planned for sometime in mid-January, please keep an eye on our events page for updates!
Please note helmets and a current Klondike Snowmobile Association membership are required to operate our equipment.
