International Snowmobile Day
26 October 2024 – Klondike Snowmobile Association
Today is International Snowmobile Day, join us as we celebrate the beginning of another snowmobile season! Just in time for International Snowmobile Day, snow has arrived in much of the Yukon and we did our first grooming run of the season last night.
Here in the Yukon, unlike most snowmobiling destinations, we are lucky to have no requirements for trail permits or trail passes to use the trails. However, a Klondike Snowmobile Association membership is highly recommended as membership fees help pay for grooming, signage and more. Please support our volunteers who are working hard for you out on the trails this season by purchasing a membership. If your interested in getting involved check out our volunteer page or contact us any time!
Top five ways to celebrate with us:
1. Purchase a membership to your local snowmobile club and help support trail prep by club volunteers.
2. Please encourage your riding companions to do the same. Spreading the word amongst your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors is a great way to support snowmobiling.
3. Connect with your local snowmobile club and pitch in this season to help get trails ride-ready. Check out current Yukon snowmobile volunteering opportunities on our Volunteer page under the membership tab.
4. Start planning your winter snowmobile adventures. There’s plenty of free resources right here on our website to help you get started!
5. Follow us on Facebook and X and share our posts!
