Membership System Upgrades

Membership System Upgrades

05 October 2025 – Klondike Snowmobile Association

The Klondike Snowmobile Association is in the process of upgrading our membership software.

Everyone who has already purchased a 2025/2026 membership will be automatically transferred to the new system with no action required on your part, and everyone purchasing or renewing a membership after today will be interacting directly with the new system.

The old system served us well, however time and technology has marched onward. We’re now transitioning to a new system which will streamline membership renewals, integrate with our e-mail program, and offer many other useful features. The cost of the new program is only a few cents per member.

Members will see minimal change to what you need to do going forward. This new software means a new online membership form, which we have set up to look and feel similar to our old one. Payment methods remain the same, with the exception that you will now be able to pay by credit card directly on the form. Paper forms will continue to be available for those who don’t want to register online.

Our new system does require at least some contact information for all members, either a mailing address and/or an e-mail address. We will only contact you for things that the Yukon’s Societies Act requires us to contact you for, unless you select Yes to receiving our newsletter and other updates from us.

One benefit of our new system is the option to put a separate e-mail for each member on a Family or Corporate membership, which means everyone on your membership can have our newsletter and other updates delivered directly to them.

Another handy feature of our new system is when our office volunteers confirm your membership has been processed and payment received, you’ll automatically have a temporary membership card e-mailed to you. This temporary card will be valid for a few weeks while you wait for your real membership cards to arrive in the mail. Please disregard this e-mail and temporary card if you already have a 2025/2026 Klondike Snowmobile Association Membership card in hand.

You’ll also notice we’ve begun asking a few extra questions when you sign up or renew. We only collect this information to see general patterns so our volunteers can adjust our advocacy efforts, education outreach and event planning to better suit our membership. Think of it like planning a party – it’s a lot easier if you know who it’s for and how many might come.

We collect minimal data from you and it’s safe with us. Memberships are now done through a reputable membership software product and our policy is to never share or sell personal information. Bulk e-mails are done through a program which doesn’t allow other recipients to see your information and offers every recipient an opportunity to unsubscribe. All membership payments are received through Square, so everything is traceable and no volunteers have access to your credit card information.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the volunteers who donated many hours of time and effort behind the scenes to make it happen!

If you have any questions, concerns, comments or suggestions please contact us any time.
