Snow Grooming Trailblazers On Display At YTM

The Yukon Transportation Museum and the Klondike Snowmobile Association are pleased to show off another piece of the Yukon’s colourful and ingenious transportation history with a freshly updated snow grooming exhibit!

Take an afternoon to check out their fabulous collection of Yukon history this winter, and while your there be sure to visit the hangar where you’ll find “Fluffy”, our old trail groomer, and a pop up exhibit telling the story of Harris Cox. Harris has been voluntarily grooming trails in the Yukon for 65 years, and last year was inducted into the International Snowmobile Hall of Fame as 2024 Groomer of the Year, an award which Harris has generously given to the Yukon Transportation Museum for safe keeping.

The Yukon Transportation Museum is located in Whitehorse, Yukon, on the Alaska Highway right beside the Whitehorse International Airport terminal. Their open hours during the winter months are Saturday, Sunday and Monday from Noon till 5.
