Spring Trail Conditions
22 March 2023 – Klondike Snowmobile Association
Spring is starting to appear in parts of the Yukon, and we’re now seeing spring snow conditions in many areas.
While snowmobiling in the coming weeks please use extra caution for a mix of soft heavy snow and hard icy snow. Some rough trail conditions may be encountered due to lack of fresh snow and hardening of old snow limiting our ability to groom. Also keep in mind ice conditions on lakes and rivers are also changing fast.
With the consistently warm day time temperatures its also come time for the City of Whitehorse to begin plowing some of the urban paved multi-use trails so expect to see this during the next week or two as well.
Warm weather and changing conditions mean we need your trail reports as much as ever! Please send us a trail report after your snowmobile rides to let us know how the trails are and we’ll update our trail conditions page accordingly. You can send reports quickly and easily directly from our trail conditions page at https://ksa.yk.ca/trails/trail-conditions/ or you can e-mail us, text us, or send us a facebook message any time.
Enjoy the rest of the snowmobiling season while it lasts!
