Snowmobile Tours

At this time the Klondike Snowmobile Association does not offer formal snowmobile tours or rentals, but there are several local companies that do.

Snowmobile tours are a great way to try snowmobiling in the Yukon. Most tours include a full package for one convenient price, making them an easy and affordable way to get started.

There are a few Yukon companies offering snowmobile tours and rentals this year:

Up North Adventures: Up North Adventures is owned and operated by Yukoners, and is based in Whitehorse, Yukon. They have many years of experience operating snowmobile tours around Whitehorse and currently operate snowmobile tours in the Scout Lake area just a few minutes west of downtown Whitehorse. They offer half-day and full-day snowmobile tours, and options to pair your snowmobile tour with other winter activities like ice fishing and snowshoeing. Most snowmobile tours in the Yukon include:

– Transportation to and from downtown
– Snowmobile rental
– Helmet and safety gear
– Warm winter clothing
– Safety demonstrations and general operating instructions
– Snacks and beverages
– A professional local guide
– Choice of two riders sharing a snowmobile to reduce cost or a snowmobile to yourself for an extra fee. Pro tip: it’s usually well worth the extra to have individual snowmobiles.

Each snowmobile tour is a little different, so before you head out please check with your tour provider for up-to-date information on what’s included, what you need to bring, and to confirm your meeting place and pickup time. Enjoy!
