2022 International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week

February 12th through 21st 2022 is International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week!

Surveys indicate that there are many people in our community and around the world who are interested in snowmobiling, but either don’t want to spend a great deal of money on a snowmobile and gear before trying it, or just aren’t sure where or how to get started.

To help solve this every February many individual snowmobilers and organized snowmobile associations now participate in International Take A Friend Snowmobiling Week, a campaign to encourage snowmobilers to invite their family, friends, co-workers and neighbors out for a ride to introduce them to snowmobiling and show them what it’s all about.

This is a perfect opportunity to dust off any extra snowmobiles and riding gear you may have and invite your non-snowmobiler friends out for a ride. You can do this on our own schedule on your favourite trails, or you can join one of many organized group rides taking place across North America.

Here in the Yukon you can join us for the Klondike Snowmobile Association’s annual Take A Friend Snowmobiling group ride in Whitehorse on Saturday 12 February 2022, we’ll make sure to stick to trails suitable for beginners and take lots of breaks so riders of all skill levels and snowmobiles of all types are welcome to join us!
