Trail Care 2024
28 April 2024 – Klondike Snowmobile Association
As part of a nationwide effort to preserve and enhance the world’s longest trail network, the Klondike Snowmobile Association is excited to announce our participation in Trail Care, happening this June!
Trail Care is a national effort supported by Trans Canada Trail. These events, held each June, call on groups and volunteers across Canada to take part in a local Trail Care activity and leave their mark on the Trans Canada Trail.
This year $269,250 worth of grants have been awarded to 221 groups across the country to fund Trail Care events, and $4000 of that is coming to the Yukon! Locations and details of these Yukon events will be announced soon, so please keep an eye on our events page at https://ksa.yk.ca/coming-events and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates. Everyone is welcome to attend these events, they’re free and no previous experience is required.
“Trail Care Day embodies the spirit of grassroots stewardship. Communities can shape their local trail experience while contributing to the collective preservation of Canada’s iconic trail network,” says Meghan Reddick, Interim CEO at Trans Canada Trail. “There’s something extremely special about a national effort to care for the Trail that connects us all.”
The Klondike Snowmobile Association is proud to be part of this national effort to steward the Trans Canada Trail and invites any and all community members to join in the effort.
