Trail Care 2025
10 June 2025 – Klondike Snowmobile Association
The Trans Canada Trail is the longest multi-use recreational trail in the world, connecting Canadians from coast to coast to coast, and is maintained almost entirely by volunteers.
Each summer dozens of volunteer groups host Trail Care events across the country in an effort to clean, maintain and improve the Trans Canada Trail.
Trail Care events typically involve removing garbage and litter, repairing signs and other infrastructure, and clearing overgrown brush. Snacks, beverages and some Trans Canada Trail thank you gifts are often available for volunteers at these events.
This year in the Yukon there are several Trail Care events. Carmacks, Dawson City and Haines Junction have already seen successful Trail Care events for 2025. Another one is taking place tomorrow night (11 June 2025) at Dempster Corner, and another one is being planned for later in June on the Copper Haul Trail in Whitehorse.
We’d like to send a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who have helped with these events so far!
We’d also like to invite everyone to our upcoming Trail Care events. For further details please check our Events page at https://ksa.yk.ca/coming-events.
